4.28 Sketchy Thursdays

There is a new sketch up at Sketchy Thursdays. Well it is Thursday, so of course there is! Let me share the sketch.



I have been slightly obsessive about this renewed (renewed from high school) love of photography. It just flows with scrapping so well! Before my photo class was over, I was searching out buildings and things that would make for cool backdrops for some shots. I found this wall on the backside of our church. The cement blocks were painted forever ago and not much is done back there as far as making it pretty since it is the back and all. But it was perfect for this day of picture taking!

Baby girl is just so fun to take pictures of. She has so many different expressions that make me laugh. Here is my layout with the wall photos.



I just love these photos so much! There is this one too from that day. She is just so funny!

DD #2 thought this orange thing was hilarious. She did it for the entire time we were at the track meet. And then she got baby girl to do it too. Always a party!

March SNR work

Now that the April issue is out, I can post my stuff from the March issue! Since there were only a few days left before March went to publication when I started, I did not do too much. But here they are.

Sketchy Thursdays 4.14 Sketch

The new Sketchy Thursday's is a 2 pager.



I am groaning. I have never done a 2 pager before. They are just so big!!! Plus having enough photos to put in two pages seems impossible to me since I have the issue with all the photos being from the same moment! Hmmm... So I debated. Should I attempt the 2 pager or just cut it to one like I usually do? Well, I figured I should at least give it a shot, one time, maybe I would love 2 pagers. So I stuck with the original and here is what I came up with.



I had all these pics of baby girl from Disney when she went to get her hair done at the Bippity Boppity Boutique, so it met my own criteria of all the photos from the same scene. They are not the best quality, but oh well. It was the best day. You can tell she is so happy about the appointment because she is actually looking at the camera with her eyes and not being all Forest Gump on me like she normally is.

Sketchy Thursdays 4.7 Sketch

Well, I know I have been hanging around Sketchy Thursdays for the whole month of March, but this is my first layout as an official part of the design team! I am still cheesing over this. It is just so cool!!

Anyway, on to the sketch.



Another awesome one. Being a 4 photo layout, I, of course, had to use 4 photos from the same shoot. Mixing up scenery in one layout really seems to feel unnatural to me. I see other people do it and it looks great, but I cannot seem to duplicate it. Luckily I use a digital camera so I usually have a zillion photos from the same shoot.

My take...





She learned this song at choir called "I'm a Promise". She can really belt it out too! I have a video of her singing this song in a mic along with a karaoke machine. It is priceless. But it is a great song for her.

"I'm a promise/I'm a possibility/I am a promise/With a capital P/I am a great big bundle of potentiality!"

It goes on from there, but it is her!

Better Living April Challenge #1

An Ode to a Gadget!

Well, I had to pick my punches. I love bunches, especially border punches. I really can't have too many! They are all so wonderful. Maybe I wouldn't love them so, so much if I had a Cricut, but I think I still would!



In honor of all my border punches, I first did my background paper a tone on tone design with all the different border punch designs. So cool.



Then I used a different punch for all the little hearts, making a mask and using a Mister Hueys mist to make the background complete.
